Range/Habitat: Southern Africa/ desert
Diet: Omnivore: seeds, bulbs, insects
Length/Weight: 8-12”/ 12 oz
Conservation Status: common

- Cape Ground squirrels live in small colonies.
- They have large claws.
- Cape ground squirrels burrow underground.
- Cape ground squirrels forage for food daily.
- They have different calls for predators.
