Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday
Today has become known as Giving Tuesday. It is a day to give what you can to charity organizations that support all kinds of issues. We hear at Ellie & Edmond HQs are going to share two conservation organizations that we think are amazing! If you choose to give today, we encourage you to support these two groups.
First Up:
The David Sheldreick Wildlife Foundation
This amazing organization takes in orphan elephants from the wild in Africa and raises them to return to the wild when they are old enough. Ocassionally they take care of orphan giraffes, antelope and rhinos. They have people who go out in to the wild and save adult elephants who have been injured by spears and other means. We can not say enough good things about the work they are doing. You can donate or adopt an orphan!
Second:
Our second conservation organization for the day is the Ocean Conservancy. This great group is working with scientists and conservationists all over the planet to protect the earth’s largest habitats and its inhabitants- the oceans. We all are connected to the oceans- even if we live no where near them and without healthy oceans we will not have a healthy planet.

Walking in the Woods
Walking in the Woods
We are excited to spend this fall & the last remaining days of November introducing woodland animals. We’ll be meeting some birds and mammals and amphibians.
We are so grateful for fall crisp weather and the beautiful orange, yellow and red leaves. We love to put on our scarves and go for stroll in a park or on a trail. We usually only spot birds and squirrels, but the woods are full of so many creatures- often not seen.
We hope you are excited to meet some of these residents in the next few weeks! Tomorrow we are meeting a woodland creature many of us do now, but often take for granite! These brightly colored birds fill the air with song! Any guess of who they are?

Hello! And welcome to our adventures! We wanted to introduce ourselves again after being gone for a while. We are a small horse & elephant who love animals, nature and adventure.
Our mission is to introduce you to animals from all over the planet. We hope to inspire you to fall in love with these creatures and their habitats. We all call this planet home and we only get the one, so we hope to help protect it. We are going to cover groups of animals each month with the theme changing. Sometimes the theme will be based on a habitat and other times it will be fun (like creepy crawlies) and other themes will be based on groups (like cetaceans -whales and dolphins). We are introducing maps this year & most information will be given in pictures- like an animals Stats (i.e. what they eat).
We hope you enjoy our new format and please- share our site with your friends & family! We love to make new friends! Also- join in the fun on our social media- Instagram, Facebook & Twitter!
